My visual language
My work begins where gesture, matter and light meet. Through different techniques and materials I build pieces in which the mark settles in layers, the surface gains body and light becomes part of the image itself.
It is a path in continuous evolution, guided by a few elements that keep returning and define my language.
Where matter meets gesture
I have always liked bringing different materials and languages together.
My works take shape on canvas and on paper through the meeting of colour, line and matter. From pointillism to drawing, from layered colour to worked-up surfaces, every element takes part in building light and depth, and keeps the mark of the gesture that made it.
I am not after an even surface, but a living presence, one that changes with colour and light.
The value of time
In my raised, impasto pointillism, drops of colour are laid on the canvas one by one, slowly building a living, three-dimensional surface.
Each dot is a single gesture. Its repetition creates a texture and a new way of seeing the image, while the light breaks up among the reliefs, setting off a constant dialogue between colour, shadow and movement.
It is a slow, painstaking process, in which the painted gesture turns into matter and, under the light, takes on a presence of its own, making every work dynamic and alive.
Beyond what is seen
Light is a constant in my work: from the very beginning I have imagined faces crossed by an intense, almost white luminosity.
I am not after hyperrealism. Pores, blemishes, everything that belongs to the physical fact of a face holds no interest for me: I want to remove the superfluous and let the presence of the person come through.
That luminosity does not erase identity, it transforms it. That is where I look for something beyond what the eye sees, a more intimate dimension of the sitter.

A visual journey through ritual signs, symbols, archaic patterns and imagery drawn from different cultures and worlds. Distant elements, ethnic memories and ancestral echoes meet, intertwine and transform through intense colour and a deeply personal pictorial language, giving rise to new figurative and decorative compositions where history, memory and the present coexist.

A lover of the world's cultures and traditions, of nature and of colour, I have always been drawn to textures, details, shapes and beauty.
In my work these passions meet and turn into a language made of rhythm, matter and colour. Folklore and nature become sources of inspiration that I reinterpret through a personal gaze, in search of a balance between energy and harmony.
